EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING | UK report finds that most young people aged 18–24 are motivated to find work

(2009-11-18) Findings in a recent report released by the UK employment organisation Reed in Partnership suggest that the work ethic is alive and well in young people aged 18–24.

A total of 1,200 young people were interviewed for the report, entitled 'False starts: Restoring hope, dignity and opportunity to young people'. The majority of those surveyed were keen to work and had a flexible attitude to work, despite the economic recession. However, they were less keen to take on unpaid work to develop their skills and future prospects.
