Commission for Children and Young People, Victoria

The Commission for Children and Young People is always keen to identify the views of children and young people, parents, carers, professionals and the broader community, through consultation at events, forums and workshops. The Commission's key functions cover:

Policy, research and communications (including policy and legislative analysis, research partnerships, communications activities).

Inquiries and systemic reform (including inquiries on matters relating to Child Protection, engaging with families, departments and community organisations, monitoring service provision).

Monitoring programs and services (including monitoring out-of-home care services, analysing services for vulnerable children and young people, independent reviews on key issues relevant to the safety and wellbeing of young people, listening to the voices of young people in out-of-home care and in the youth justice system).
