Volunteering

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Amnesty International Australia (AIA) and they play a pivotal role in the working of the SA and NT Activist Resource Centre (ARC).

There are many ways you can volunteer with AIA in South Australia and the Northern Territory. You can either volunteer from home or alternatively come in and volunteer from our office.

The SA/NT office, fondly known as the ARC (Activist Resource Centre) is open Monday to Thursday, 10a.m. - 5p.m. and 10a.m. - 1p.m. on Fridays.

Working from home may involve, joining a letter writing group, joining a local group or network or even starting your own AIA group. You may even want to organise an event or fundraiser with support from the Activist Resource Centre.

As a volunteer you can learn more about how Amnesty International works and the broader dimensions of human rights campaigning and education, but you can also directly make a difference to the success of Amnesty International in South Australia and the Northern Territory, Australia and around the world. If you can help us please volunteer using the form on this page.

We have regular induction/information sessions which all new volunteers (whether volunteering from home or from the ARC) will need to attend. Contact the office for more details on (08) 8110 8100.
