Key youth organisations in Australia:
Australian Youth Forum
In March 2008, Australia's Minister for Youth, Kate Ellis, announced the creation of the Australian Youth Forum as a mechanism for young Australians to have a voice to government. Replacing the National Youth Roundtable, the AYF will offer broader opportunity and scope for young people from across Australia to be heard by the federal government. A consultation process was undertaken in the first half of 2008. Feedback on a discussion paper on the AYF closed on 30 May 2008. Keep informed on future developments on the AYF by visiting the government website, The Source, at: http://www.thesource.gov.au/ (viewed 2 April 2008, revised June 2008).
