The ACOSS National Conference is the annual meeting place for the community sector to discuss the policy and practice needed to tackle poverty and inequality, and to build an inclusive society in Australia.
The 2023 ACOSS National Conference theme is Advancing the Common Good. This theme has been selected to inform discussion about the way in which civil society can ensure policy reforms address ongoing poverty and rising inequality; and to open the conversation about how economic growth can be fair and inclusive for everyone.
The 2023 ACOSS Conference will cover a wide range of issues relating to poverty and inequality both in Australia and globally, including:
Economic reform;
Tax reform;
Workforce and economic participation;
Social security policy;
Access to affordable housing and utilities;
Improving health and education outcomes for disadvantaged people; and
