acys.info republishes material issued by the Australian Clearinghouse for Youth Studies, whose services have closed. This is an independent archive: we are not ACYS and not the University of Tasmania, and we cannot pass messages to either.
ACYS Publishing was the clearinghouse's book imprint: reference works for the youth studies field and textbooks for students coming into it. The entries in this section are the catalogue records for those books, kept as they were published - title, author or editor, imprint, ISBN, extent, contents and the endorsements printed with them.
They are records, not an offer. The order forms and the inquiry addresses belonged to the clearinghouse and closed with it, and a price in an entry is part of what the record says rather than a price anyone can pay now. This site is an independent archive and neither a publisher nor a bookseller.
What a catalogue record is still good for is finding the book. An ISBN and an exact title are what a library, a repository or a secondhand dealer needs, and the tables of contents reproduced here are often enough to tell whether a chapter is worth chasing at all. For textbooks in particular, the contents show how the subject was taught at the time, which is a use the publisher never intended and an archive can supply. Anything about these records themselves goes to the editors of the archive.
