The NYARS reports held here are open access, the full set as the clearinghouse published it. Each is a standalone research report on a single question in youth affairs, published for people making decisions about services and policy rather than for a journal readership.
Reports of this kind date well, which is why the set is worth keeping whole. A report states what was asked, who was asked, and what its authors would and would not conclude, so it can be read now both as evidence about its subject and as evidence about what the field thought worth studying. Where a later report returns to an earlier one, the pair shows how an answer changed.
Nothing here needs a subscription and nothing is being added: the set is archived, not continued, and the clearinghouse that hosted it has closed. Some reports name contacts or ordering details from the time; those channels are closed, and the documents themselves are the part that matters. For citation, the titles and authors in this section are the published ones. Write to the editors of the archive about anything in this section.
