In a couple of weeks’ time chef Jamie Oliver will be spreading his message of healthy eating by holding a Food Revolution Day; his healthy food cooking lesson will be available across the world, and schools everywhere are urged to take part.

Once a school has registered to take part, it will be sent a downloadable resource pack outlining ingredients needed for a class to make his Squash It Sandwich, as well as other resources.

Food Revolution Day is part of Jamie Oliver’s global campaign to ‘put compulsory practical food education back on the school curriculum’. Jamie believes that if young people are educated about healthy eating this will mean they will go on to lead healthier, more productive lives. More than 180 countries are now involved in the campaign. There is also a petition you can sign to ask governments around the world to make food education a part of schooling for all. Visit Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day website here.

The Food Revolution Day will take place on Friday 15 May; for more details and to register, click here.
