By documenting and promoting best practice care and support strategies used by those working with LGBTI young people, the MindOUT! Youth Project aims to strengthen the capacity of the sector to identify and respond to the mental health needs of LGBTI young people, and inform national mental health and suicide prevention strategies so that they are LGBTI inclusive.
The ten national project partners met in Sydney in early March to develop an Australian-first evaluation tool that gives the project ‘a framework for speaking about and assessing their services and skills collectively’.
